Groomer Report

Report Date: March 3, 2017 

It would be nice to have more snow but we groomed last night with what we have.   Please watch out for water on the trail and bare areas.  Still snow in the woods but just watch for water pockets and bare areas on the trails.  In town trails are passable today.  Please make sure if you do ride that you use caution and watch for hazards on the trail.

Big Bay Snowmobile Trail #14 – 40 Miles to turn around

Conditions:  POOR to FAIR Date Groomed: 3/2/17 Snow Base: 6″-12″

Trail Notes: Whole trail was groomed. Beaver dams still have some issues but you can get around them with your sled.  Logging is done but now be cautious of the bare areas in that section of trail 

Alston Snowmobile Trail #159 to #8/15 to #109 – 48 miles to turn around

Conditions:  POOR to FAIR   Date Groomed:  3/1/17  Snow Base:  6″-8″

Trail Notes: We groomed this trail to trail 112.  Water issues past the bridge going towards Alston. Us e caution and watch for water on the trails

Nestoria Snowmobile Trail #15 to #8 – 32 miles to turn around

Conditions: POOR   Date Groomed:  3/2/17  Snow Base: 6″-8″

Trail Notes:   We were able to groom to the powerline coming from Baraga, too wet to go any further with the groomer but passable by sled.  Please use  caution and don’t forget to stop by Canyon Falls

Chassell Snowmobile Trail #15 North – 24 miles turn around

Conditions: POOR Date Groomed: 2/15/17  Snow Base: 6″-8″

 Too many wet areas for us to groom. 

Pinery Lakes Cross Country Ski Trail

Date Groomed: 2/25/2017  Snow Base:  6″-12″

Trail Notes: Groomed and tracked and ready for you to enjoy 🙂
