Novi Show 2006

MSA WAS AT THE NOVI SNOW SHOW

Friday evening was blustery putting everyone in the mood for a snowmobile show and playing to a crowd of about five thousand plus.  The aisles were full and large packages were wrestled out the doors.  The MSA booth volunteers and officers were very busy talking about Proposal 1 to protect recreation funds, membership, zero tolerance, and trail issues.  Some trendy new clothes were on display and we did a brisk business.

Saturday there were about twelve thousand plus crowding the aisles and buying again.  The Snomads snowmobile club did an excellent job with their safety class program of about 70 students.  Memberships, trail permits, raffle tickets, information and lots of smiles were presented again to enthusiasts of all ages.  We even saw Tom Anderson (who produces the show) smiling broadly.

The beautiful weather Sunday perhaps kept some people in their yards but thousands more were thinking “snow” and attended the Rock Financial Snow Show in earnest.  We even saw some of the same faces as they had made decisions and came back to purchase.

One dealership alone sold over 80 sleds.  So who said snowmobiling isn’t strong and alive.

Yamaha had three Russians attend the show prior to viewing Michigan’s trail system and talking with a couple snowmobile trail grant sponsors who do grooming about our programs.  Snowmobiling is growing in Russia and they came here to see it first hand.

The show was a good way to start them off.  Later in the week they were seen wearing hats embroidered with stars and stripes and the MSA logo as they viewed some of our trail groomers.

This is one of the largest shows of its kind.  If you missed it, shame on you.  MSA was very pleased with the attendance and the participation.  The new facility is super.
